The BBC Scottish Symphony Club is a 'friends' organisation, independent of the BBC, which has been supporting the members of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra since 1980. This it does primarily by offering the players the opportunity to play music of their choice in small ensembles. Usually this is chamber music in the western classical tradition but not always: jazz, folk, klezmer and other genres have featured. Members of the Club therefore have the benefit of hearing a wide range of music superbly played. These recitals are held in the Recital Room of the City Halls in Candleriggs, Glasgow.
Our annual reception also offers the opportunity to meet the players.
